Getting started

From an empty account to a funded plan

Four phases, in order: open an account, verify your identity, fund and choose a plan, then monitor and withdraw. Each one is handled in the same place, and none of them asks you to start over.

Trading on the Vest Node Capitals platform

Opening an account and putting capital to work follows four phases, in a fixed order: open an account, verify your identity, fund and choose a plan, and then monitor and withdraw. The order matters because each phase depends on the one before it, and nothing is funded before the account it belongs to has been opened and verified.

The phases are handled in a single place so that you are not passed between systems or asked to repeat yourself. What follows describes what each phase is for and what it asks of you, without prescribing the administrative detail that belongs to the account you are opening.

Sequence

Why the phases are in this order

The sequence is not administrative convenience. An account has to exist before it can be verified, and it has to be verified before it can be funded, because the checks that establish who owns the account are the same checks that allow capital to move through it. Reordering those steps would mean accepting money into an account whose owner has not been confirmed, which is precisely the situation the order is designed to prevent.

The final phase is ongoing rather than a single event. Monitoring is what turns a funded plan into a position you understand: it is where performance is read, where a change in circumstances is noticed, and where the decision to withdraw begins. Treating it as a phase in its own right is deliberate, because the work does not end when the money arrives.

The process

The four phases, in order

  1. 01

    Open an account

Opening an account begins on the platform and takes only a few minutes of input. You provide the basic details that identify you and create your login, and the account is created in your name from the outset. Nothing is funded at this stage; the account exists first so that the checks that follow have somewhere to attach.

  2. 02

    Verify your identity

Verification is the phase that establishes who the account belongs to. We will tell you what is needed at each step, and the requirements follow the rules that apply to the account rather than a list we choose ourselves. The process is completed inside the same account, so you can see where it stands as you go.

  3. 03

    Fund and choose a plan

Once verification is complete, you choose the plan whose minimum and maximum suit the capital you intend to commit, then fund it. Each plan states its own allocation band, expected return range, and terms, so the decision can be made with the numbers in front of you. The plan is confirmed before capital is allocated to it.

  4. 04

    Monitor and withdraw

After a plan is funded, positions, allocations, and performance are visible in the account at any time. Adjustments are handled through the same place the account was opened, and withdrawals are requested from the account rather than through a separate process. The specific steps and conditions are set out when you reach them.

Verification

What verification asks for

A government-issued photo ID, proof of address dated within three months, and a short liveness check. Business accounts add proof of registration and authorised signatories.

You will be told exactly what is needed at each step inside the application, and verification completes inside the same account you opened. Where a requirement follows from the rules that apply to your account, it cannot be waived — asking for it is part of keeping the account in your name.

After the plan is funded

Funding a plan is not the end of the process, and it does not mean the capital becomes passive. Performance is reported in the account, and the plan you hold determines how capital is allocated within its band. If your circumstances change, or the account grows beyond the band it was placed in, that is a question for the plan's terms and for the support team rather than something the platform decides on your behalf.

The same account remains the point of contact for everything that follows: reviewing what you hold, asking a question, or requesting a withdrawal. You will not need to open a second account or re-verify in order to act on the first one.
